StoneLite® panels are at the top of their field in university, college, and other educational institutional applications. This distinction has been achieved through our longevity, manufacturing process, durability, and extensive testing. Below are some examples of how StoneLite® panels can be utilized in traditional and non traditional applications.
South Plaquemine High School was destroyed when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. SPI was contracted to fabricate more than 30,000 square ft. of complicated Indiana Limestone cornice panels. The panels were fabricated at our manufacturing facility and shipped ready to install at the new high school. During the construction phase Hurricane Isaac hit the high school while under construction in late summer of 2012.
There was ZERO damage to the installed StoneLite® fabricated exterior Indiana limestone cornices. StoneLite® panels are the only lightweight panel system to have the Miami Dade NOA certification.
The University of British Columbia Earth Science Building created a unique exterior on the Ross Beaty Lecture Hall using twenty one unique slabs on StoneLite® panels. The book matched slab panels are not only decorative but are used as an outdoor laboratory for student studies.
OPEN JOINT/RAIN SCREEN
StoneLite® panels have been installed in new construction and renovation applications using the open joint/rain screen application for Drexel University Integrated Science Building, University of Arkansas Vol Walker School of Architecture, and Temple University Science Education and Research Center.
Quinnipiac University Health Professions Center and Kimbrough Hall of the University of Washington both feature curved stone applications using StoneLite® panels. Kimbrough Hall has an 18’ curved limestone and Quinnipiac University boasts a 40′ curved flamed granite radius.
SEGMENTED CURVED WALL
Cleveland State University Student Center features a unique curved segmented wall using Virginia Mist granite in a flamed finish.
UNIQUE STONE FINISHES AND FEATURES
USCD used StoneLite® panels for Otterson Hall and Rady School of Management. Both feature StoneLite® exterior panels in a raked finish and cantilevered structures.
SEALED JOINT EXTERIOR/INTERIOR
Gallup University installed over 20,000 sq. ft. of StoneLite® Rocheret French limestone on an exterior/interior application. The University of California-Davis used StoneLite® Walnut travertine panels as their exterior cladding choice on the new Segundo Services Building.
