About the project
Crest Cadillac Hoover participated in the Cadillac Brand Image project including an exterior cladding renovation with StoneLite® facade panels. Almost 2,000 sq. ft. of natural lightweight limestone composite panels are installed on the exterior, column covers, and entrance tower.
Typical panel sizes are designed with a 24″x16″ module size. SPI value engineered the project producing panels 48’x16″ with a vertical false joint to reduce the number of panels to manufacture and install. The project scope has 3/8″ sealed joints installed with our running bond installation.
In addition to manufacturing the panels, SPI performed the installation using our wide interlocking channel system. StoneLite® panels are able to be installed in all weather conditions as evidenced by the installation photos.
The natural limestone facing is porous while the honeycomb substrate is water impenetrable and may be used in an open joint/rain screen system in addition to sealed joints. The installation photos attached to this project were taken before the project was completely installed and with caulked joints.
