Over 56,000 sq. ft. of StoneLite® Mocha Creme limestone panels were installed on the exterior of this 14 story building over steel stud framing and 2-inch thick rigid insulation board.  An additional 15,000 sq. ft. of StoneLite® limestone adorns the interior lobbies in the building as well.

The architect wanted the cachet of the stone finish but dimensional stone weighed too much and the project is in a seismic zone.  StoneLite®‘s ability to flex along with freeze thaw testing made it ideal for meeting the seismic and the wide temperature swing requirements.

Additional details on this project may be found under the Project Profile tab.

RIM Architects specified 34,000 sq. ft. of StoneLite® Giallo Santa Cecilia granite for the construction of this 10 story structure.  The light weight StoneLite® panels require far less structural support than dimensional stone.  Unlike sold stone, the panels can be flexed, making them ideal for seismic locations.  Visit our Project Profile section for a more in depth review of this project.

Nesbett Courthouse exterior façade was clad in 35,000 sq. ft. of StoneLite® Rosa Porino and Rossa Taivassallo granite panels in honed and sandblasted finishes.

The Courthouse was designed as a public disaster shelter during seismic activity and is able to withstand 2 inch floor to floor lateral displacement.  StoneLite®‘s flexural ability makes it a natural for any project requiring stone in a seismic zone.

The four story government building was completed in 1994.  After 20+ years of exposure to Alaskan freeze-thaw weather conditions, the panels remain durable and beautiful.
