About the project

The addition and renovation to the iconic Vol Walker Hall School of Architecture involved over 7,300 sq. ft. of StoneLite® limestone exterior panels in a honed finish.

The panels were installed in an open joint screen application. Our “For Construction” set of shop drawings will always indicate a drop of silicone to be placed at the attachment point to maintain the joint size as panels may walk as the building moves.

The panels have 90 degree factory rebated honeycomb edges. Designers may choose this option as it hides the honeycomb substrate in an open joint application.

Standard details are available under CAD-BIM.  SPI’s in house engineering department is a valuable resource in working with customers to determine the most effective detail.
